FAQs

  • No, we are not. We fully believe that grief does not discriminate. If someone is desiring religious support, we will do everything we can to connect you to the support you need. If someone is desiring non-religious support, we will do everything we can to connect you to the support you need. No matter what your walk of life, you are welcome here.

  • No, we desire to represent and serve families experiencing all forms of child loss, from pregnancy loss to young adulthood child loss. We are represented by a variety of types and ages of child loss on our team - miscarriages, infant loss, toddler loss, teenage child loss, drowning, trauma, and illness.

  • Yes, we offer Support System Equipping Sessions, where we walk with a support system and guide them on how to tangibly support their loved ones grieving the loss of their child and interact in conversations. As we grow, it is our desire to not just help parents, but siblings, grandparents, and other loved ones.

  • We are unique in a few ways. Because of our founder’s professional experience as a nurse in the NICU, we are able to offer unique types of support in the anticipatory phase of loss. We are also able to advise on the nuances present in an infant or child’s funeral because of her attendance to the funerals of her patients and because of our bereaved parent mentors’ lived experiences in planning their own children’s funerals. These are both services that are either rare or do not exist at all. We also educate family members and loved ones on what is helpful in the immediate, such as establishing meal trains and child care trains, as well as giving practical tips on what to say (or not say) to a parent experiencing the loss of their child. Our bereaved parent mentorship program is different from a typical child loss support group, because it is one-on-one communication with someone who has experienced a similar type of loss, someone who can truly say, “I understand.”
